Our Winery
For our wines we choose
only the best fruit from
wonderful land blessed by
the sun. We have selected
the oldest Primitivo typical bush-vines
of Salento, called «Alberelli», from the area of Manduriaand Sava; almost a century years-old
plants that still have the
strength to produce the
most prestigious grapes. We believe it is only through the careful selection in the
vineyard that you can bottle unique motions.
The Region
In Salento the ancient Primitivo is cultivated using the traditional “alberello” vine-training method. Alberello is the illustrious protagonist of Manduria and Sava viticultural history and its landscape growing on the red soils of Taranto Province where is used to make “Primitivo di Manduria”.
Primitivo’s vine has a reduced but very valuable yield of grapes. The perfect balance between the particular type of soil, the climate and vines creates an ideal condition: the bunches are arranged on the plant in an optimal manner, well exposed to the sun but protected from excessive insolation and able to exploit the heat of the land.
